Synopsis

After passing his primary school exams, Dougie (Malik Lemuel) succumbs to peer pressure, leading to life-altering consequences - impregnating the area Chief’s daughter - Joyce (Foi Wambui). KUTU is a powerful short film that shines a spotlight on the adolescent pregnancy crisis from a teenager's perspective, revealing how it impacts both boys and girls. Inspired by the surge in teenage pregnancies during the COVID-19 lockdown, the film underscores the urgent need for action to address this critical issue.
